The rain has stopped; let the running and rummaging begin in the very warm sunshine this weekend, as The USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and Des Moines Arts Festival, run, jump, browse and dicker their way into our hearts, heads and wallets.

The broadcast includes an overview of the Secret Shopper review of Von Maur,  plus what I think is a fascinating conversation with Jeff "Del" Delvaux, General Manager of Des Moines Radio Group, who talks about the importance of hiring people genetically disposed to smile, greet, engage, thank and follow-up, and the secret to finding them. I also found two amazing employees during my Secret Shopper trip through Von Maur, and Christine and Leana are both gleefully acknowledged, highlighted and fawned over, as the customer service super-studs they are, possessing more inner joy than a Chucky Cheese.
